The power Of Consistent Content

Here are my 7 reasons why consistency of content is so important in your business. Do you have a love - hate relationship with creating content?

THE POWER OF CONSISTENT CONTENT

If you're like most coaches, you probably have a love-hate relationship with producing content and keeping up consistency. Especially if you're the only one doing everything, from coaching to sales, marketing and creating content. I certainly did! On the one hand, you know that being consistent is key to any successful content strategy. After all, how can you expect to attract clients and build an audience if you're not being consistent, sharing what you do and how you can help others?

But on the other hand, being consistent can be really hard work. It's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day grind and forget to post regularly. But there is one thing: Consistency pays off. In fact, consistency is one of the most critical factors in any self employed coaches success. Why? Because you need people to see you and know what you do.

So, what does being consistent mean for your business?

Keeping Your Potential Clients Engaged
You want engagement in whatever you post, of course you do, but if you're not getting likes and shares, don't despair, it doesn't mean people aren't seeing and following what you do. Being consistent is the only way to keep your business alive, keeping it in the forefront of peoples minds. It's important to keep your subscribers and potential clients engaged and this means you need to be consistent with your content. Posting regularly and providing your audience with the type of content they're looking for keeps your business going. If you're inconsistent, your connections will quickly lose interest. Post with a goal in mind and make sure it's relevant to your audience.

Creates Momentum
When you're consistent with your content, it creates momentum. People will start to take notice and share your content with others. They will follow you on your journey, so the more momentum you have, the easier it becomes to keep going and maintain your approach. Look to take your customers on a journey with you to help them reach their end goal, keep going, people will jump on and jump off at different stages but some will follow you all the way because they know it's helping them reach an outcome they desire. For those that jumped off, give them an opportunity to jump back on when they're ready.

Building Trust
You certainly want potential customers to trust you, one sure way of doing this is being consistent in both what you do and say. But it's not just about trust, they need to know you too, knowing you helps build the trust and if you're not being consistent they can't know you or trust you. They also need to like what you're sharing, so there's three things to take into account here. If you let inconsistent behaviours manifest in your business it can lead to a lack of trust. On the other hand, when you're consistent in your intentions, actions and words, people will start to trust you more, they'll get to know you more and like what you share. And that trust can lead to all sorts of personal and professional opportunities.

Consistency Leads to Success
It's no coincidence that people who succeed in their business are also the most consistent and this is apparent in any field. That's because it's a critical ingredient in any recipe for success. To achieve your goals, in business or otherwise, do your research and make a plan. Your content should be aligned with your goals, it should have a purpose, there's a start and a finish and the finish should be a successful outcome for both your and your clients.

Attract Opportunities
If you're creating great content, sharing value with others, making a difference and giving others lightbulb moments, then opportunities will start to come your way. People will notice your work, what you have to offer and will want to either work with you, collaborate with you or share your content because of the value you're providing. The more consistent you are, the more opportunities you'll attract. Opportunities will open up when the trust builds, when you post with a purpose and when you're working towards your specific goals.

Being More Productive
When you're consistent with your content, it makes you more productive. That's because you're less likely to second-guess yourself and start over. The more productive you are, the more likely you will maintain your consistency - one builds on the other. The two go hand in hand, know what your business goals are, align your content with your goals and take a proactive approach in your content strategy.

Consistency is the Foundation of Any Successful Content Strategy
If you want to build a successful content strategy, you need to start with consistency. Without this, all your other efforts will be for nothing. But if you're consistent in your approach, you'll set yourself up for success from the start. It's like building blocks, have a plan, know what you're building and make it solid. Working towards your goals, whatever they are, is key.

It has likely become clear that consistency is one of the keys to your success. Being consistent in your actions and words will build trust, create momentum and attract opportunities. And when you're consistent, it makes you more productive. So, if you want to develop a successful content strategy, start with your goals and follow with consistency. Being consistent doesn't have to mean repeating the same thing over again, monitor what you're doing, see what works, make tweaks and be prepared to adapt along the way, but show up and align with your goals. It's the foundation of any successful content strategy.
